L'Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow

Hey guys!
I want to start off by saying that I've been AWOL due to so much studying for finals but SCHOOL IS FINALLY OVER! :-)

Anyways, since school has taken over my life for the past couple of days, I haven't really put on much makeup (I just didn’t have the time to) but I have used been using the L’Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in “Amber Rush”.

I had this for quite some time now and for some reason it didn't catch my eyes now and I cannot stop using it! Its a shimmery pinkish amber creamy color that does not crease at all and that it can either be worn by itself or it can become the base to the eye makeup.

I've been using it alot lately because its also a nice spring color. Just dab a little on my eyes with my finger and blend it across my lid with a blending brush. It looks really natural and just enough color to my face. What i also like about it that it complements my skin. I have lightish tan skin and light brown eyes and this product makes them pop more.

Blush: Maybelline Fit Me Blush in "Deep Rose"
Foundation: Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in shade "150 Nude"
Mascara: Clinique High Impact Mascara
Overall its a good eyeshadow to keep; can either be used in the day time or evening. Its roughly about $8 and can be bought at any drug store or supermarket store.

Do you like L'Oreal? What other products should I try from their brand? Comment below and hope you guys have a lovely day!

Tips on Controlling Oily Skin

Hellllllo again! hope you all are well. Anyways, today I wanted to talk about controlling oily skin. I have really oily skin and sometimes it frustrates that I cannot wear anything on my face because - a) I live in Florida where its humid all year long; and b) its just the type of skin I have. So after following these helpful tips I’ve received over the time I thought I’d share them with you wonderful people :)

The first step is to find a good daily face scrub. Anything that can control the oil in your face throughout the day. Good ones to look for are brands that promote like an acne wash because acne is most likely to be caused by the oil in your face. I’ve been using Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash with Microclear Technology for about 2 months now and I honestly will never leave it. Clean & Clear and other brands like that have good scrubs as well but I personally like this one a lot. I used to use this scrub twice a day, but then it became very irritating so now I just use it only in the mornings.
The second step is to get a moisturizer that is oil free! I’ve spent most of high school time using these moisturizers that just made my face feel so heavy and greasy. So I went into Sephora one day and I asked the sales associate if they had any face moisturizers that helps control skin and she showed me the Boscia Oil-Free Daily Hydration moisturizer. It even has SPF 15 & A PUMP! I tried it on and it doesn't even feel like I have any moisturizer at all! Its amazing! Though its a little bit pricey its worth it.

The last step is staying hydrated. I cannot stress enough how much drinking water throughout your day helps. Its so important to keep hydrated because you’ll feel great and it will show in your skin as well. If your on the go just pop a small water bottle in your purse and drink up! At a restaurant, skip the Ice Tea and have some water. It will honestly make a difference on your skin.

I hope these tips were useful to you guys! If you guys think about other products that I should try or so just let me know!

FOTD: My Everyday Makeup Routine

Hey guys! So today I'll be writing about what I usually wear everyday. I really like to stick to this because its so easy for it to match with mostly everything. I feel its a bit to dark for spring but its been so cold lately and it still feels like winter time!

After moisturizing and all, I apply a light cover of the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation in the color "150 Nude". I love this foundation because its so lightweight and easy to wear on an everyday basis! As an oily skin person, this helps me keep my face nice and matte and just doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a ton of makeup

Because its usually my everyday routine, I like to go for a subtle blush just to make me look more natural. I recently fell in love with Mac's Mineralized Blush's "Warm Soul". This is a brownish/pinkish color that has very light shimmers that can make the skin look healthy and glowing!

For the eyes, I mostly stick to this Mac Palette that I got for Christmas last year. It has 5 colors; 2 shimmery and 3 matte ones. For today's look, I used the second one to the left, which is called "Magical Mist" on the lids of the eyes and then on the crease I used "Smut" which is the bottom one of the two in one row. I really like the combination of these because it can just go with anything that is neutral or greyish color. For mascara I simply went for Maybelline "The Rocket Volume Express mascara. can easily be found in any drugstore.

Lastly for the lips i used another neutral color (you can probably tell I like keeping my makeup simple - there is just so much to do in the mornings!). I use Mac "Velvet Teddy" which is a really matte lipstick. Its a combination of brown and pink and looks really natural and really stays on for a while. If I'm in the mood to add shine I would use Rimmel's Stay Glossy clear lip gloss (as you can tell it turned literally the same color as the lipstick, I usually don't use it for anything else lol)

This makeup just looks natural and its so heavy. Keeps my skin very light and lets it breath more. Hope ya'll have a good night!

Spring Cleaning!

As many of you guys noticed Spring is here! Though it may not seem like it because of this cold weather, its officially here. When I think of Spring, the only thought that comes to mind is cleaning out my closet. I get rid of clothing that I don't use anymore, like they look really worn out, maybe pieces that don't fit anymore or even items that I barely use. Now I'm not just going to throw them out, rather I'm planning on donating them to the Salvation Army! It's a good way to do something good and can help others!

So today, I decided to wake up a bit earlier than usual and clean out my entire closet. I never realized how much clothing items I didn't used! its absolutely insane It took me about two hours to completely go trough my closet and fix it and reorganized it and literally clean it out. I managed to fill up one garbage bag composed of old jeans, dresses, shirts and so on.

I realized that this bag is all contains most of my old high school cloths. You know when you join a sport team or a academic/organization club of some sort, they end up giving you 50 billion (well more like 5) shirts a year; that's what mostly consisted off. I guess in a way, I was getting rid of my past to have a fresh start. Starting my first year of college, it help me find out more about myself and what I like and don't like. So I guess I'm kinda sort of letting go of my past to start the present!

(Heres my baby Bella! She was helping me out.. sort of lol!)
