Ruffian Nail Lacquer

Ruffian "Hedge Fund"

The only reason why I get excited that fall is coming is because I can finally start painting my nails “fall friendly” colors! Don’t get me wrong, buying fall clothing is the best feeing ever but when your “fall” doesn’t start until December... that’s when its time to choose another reason to fall in love with the season.

The minute my Birchbox appeared at my doorsteps, I knew my Ruffian Nail Lacquer arrived. It’s such a beautiful olive green tone, perfect for any color skin and it applied beautifully. Two coats is all thats needed. What I’m mostly impressed with this is that it last longer than most of my other nail polishes. I’ve had this nail posh on for quite some time now- 5 days to be exact (not that anyones counting...) and not a major chip has happened!

You can purchase the Ruffian Nail Lacquers individually for $10 each or as a trio in either the Crowdsourced Collection or the Classics Collection for $24 at Birchbox!

Ecuador Trip 2013!

I had a little trip to my native country Ecuador this past summer and I'd like to share some photos I took! I know this is somewhat differently from my usual posts but once in a while something different is good. I've always taken trip there but it was usually to visit family. Well this time, thought it was mostly that what I did, I was able to sneak out and have some adventure time ;)
If most of you guys didn't know, Ecuador is on the west side of South America. Its mostly known for the Galapagos Island that is towards the coast of it. This is the day I just landed at the capitals airport. Their new locations is very close to the mountains, which makes an amazing view when your landing.
The equator splits Ecuador in half, where the yellow line is drawn is where the equator passes. It's actually pretty neat because literally be standing on two hemispheres at the same time!
I also went to Mindos, its a small little city north from the capital, where you can scale down cascades, go tubing, and do other crazy outdoor adventures. It took about two hours to get from Quito to Mindos in car, and let me tell you something, when your body is used to flat, straight roads and then you do this road trip, you'll need a garbage bag. Ha ha! The white "fluff" you see there near the road is actually clouds! Quito is really high up in altitude and driving to Mindos in the weee early morning, you see this beautiful view!
That, my friends is Mount Chimborazo (which is currently inactive). Its the only mountain in Ecuador with ice caps at the tipity top of it.
Now this is the city where my entire family was born, Loja. Its located all the way south of Ecuador, near the boarder of Peru. Its a small city, but probably the coldest city of all! Though sunshine was shining, it was absolutely freezing! I mean since they are located south of the equator (currently in winter) and surrounded by mountains its explainable.
This is Zamora, another country/mointany city west of Loja. We spent the day there in a villa by the mountains eating delicious food and watching the Ecuador vs. Spain soccer match! This is probably my favourite picture of all that I took on this trip. It was breathtaking there.
This is on the plane ride returning back to Florida. I believe we were about to hover over Cuba.

And that's it folks! I absolutely loved my trip there and definitely recommend anyone that can to go there! Its such a beautiful country to visit! Now that I'm back I'll definitely be uploading more frequently than before.

Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Polishes

This year, Revlon has been on point with their amazing products. From their Nearly Naked foundation to their Just Bitten Kissable lipstains and now nails! I have been absolutely been head over heels with their amazing nail products (and this is coming from an only Essie nail polish owner). I recently bought these two from their ColorStay Range. The orange redish tone is called Marmalade and the nude one is called Bare Bones. What I love about them is that, unlike the Essie polishes, this is a double barrel brush that is nice and big! You can easily use one brush motion to cover the entire nail. Once its applied, it dries quite quickly. Though it claims to last you for 11 days, I believe it wont last you for that long. It's last me for about 4 days before it starts chipping. I really suggest you get your hands on these! They are just really great.

Glossybox: June 2013

This months Glossybox was inspired by American Beauty Dallas Shaw. She sketched the design outside the box itself as well as the card that comes with it. I was really excited for this box because in theme of American Beauty, Glossybox has 6 samples of Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries frangrance collection!

Let me just start off my saying that he minute I opened this box, a smell of something freaking amazing was the first thing I noticed. My hands immediately went for the small, navy Oscar de la Renta goodie bag where all 6 samples were. Once I got a good sniff from all of them, I concurred that "Mi Corazon" and "Caralina" are my personal favorites!

The Complextion Enhansing Lipstick from Tarte is suppose to help you have the appearance of bigger, fuller lips. It's a tinted gloss, a nude color with a pink color inside. They shade they give you is design just for my lip color. Cannot wait to try it out!

Another product from the box was the Honey Almost Nourishing Dry Oil Mist from C.Booth.  Its a dry oil that absorbs the into the skin leaving that area glowing and its provides hydration. Since I'm going on holiday to South America in a couple of weeks, I'll be trying this out then! I just hope its doesn't make my skin really shiny and greasy.

Glossybox included one of the many products from Philip B. I got the Philip B. Styling Gel. It's made of Sea Weed Extracts of Irish Moss & Anori and Vitamin B5. The Philip B. Hair line is meant to revitalise your hair and help it become healthy again. The packaging is really cute and simple and smells really good, kind of like fresh flowers.

The last product that came in June's Glossybox was the SpaRitual Nail Polish in "Whirlwind Romance" which is like a light pink with shimmers on it. Very cute for summer. What I like about this brand is that their nail polishes are long lasting and hardly ever chips. I tried it on one nail when I first got it, and I can say that its a really good nail polish. Didn't chip, stayed the same color and its just looks very pretty!

That's it for June's Glossybox! I really like all the products that came in it and I'm so excited to try them all out! You can sign up for Glossybox on their website, its a monthly subscription of $21. They ship to Uk, US and Ireland.

Doing some laundry with my little helper | Watching Lisa Eldridge tutorials | June Favorites Post here!
I've beeeen really slacking on taking pictures this week... sowwwwwwwwy :-( I blame the weather man. Florida has been pretty nasty this past week making every ounce of my body stay home. I did watch Side Effect with Rooney Mara, Jude Law, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Channing Tatum and it was pretty great! Definitely recommend to watch it if you can!
